Hearty Chicken Noodle Soup
Combating obesity and diabetes in the United States.
Everyone is always in a rush to get dinner on the table. How many days a week do you eat fast food or processed foods? I know I am guilty myself. I find myself in a hurry and throw frozen dinners in the oven or microwave and wala dinner is on the table. Obesity has doubled in the past 30 years, and they are projected to rise to 50 percent by 2030. Recently, JAMA released a report estimating that at least 50 percent of Americans today have diabetes or pre-diabetes. Working in a doctor’s office I saw it first hand. There is a huge problem with obesity and diabetes. Seriously? America has gotten lazy we need to do something. Sign this petition to start making changes! What else can we do? It’s simple stop eating processed foods. Eat healthy homemade low-fat foods. This is much easier than you think. I made a Hearty Chicken Noodle Soup in 30 minutes.
You will need:
1 boneless skinless chicken breast
1 64 oz chicken broth
2 cups of water
1 stalk of celery
1 bag of precut carrots
2 cups of uncooked pasta
8 oz can of diced tomatoes
1 zucchini chopped.
Directions: Cut up your chicken in small cubes. Place chicken broth and water in pan with chicken broth. Add in all veggies and bring to a boil. Continue cooking over a medium heat for 20 minutes. Bring to another boil and add in uncooked pasta. continue to cook for another 10 minutes or until pasta is tender. Serve and Enjoy.
