I think one thing we all have in common is we all want to be happy and healthy. With all the horrible news in the world, it gets hard to stay focused and to be positive. I try to disconnect from social media when there is too much going on. My sister even deleted her Facebook to keep away from the negative. I use to think she was crazy for doing it but now I see why. Every time you log into social media you see more and more negative and horrible stories. Being a blogger I can not just get rid of social media. However, social media is not just about the negative aspects, there are also lots of great things. Such as, keeping up with family that is far away and meeting new friends and reconnecting with others.
Here are 3 easy steps to stay Happy & Healthy:
Staying Positive: The first step is Staying Positive: Staying positive can be so hard, but every day I make an effort to stay positive. Begin by surrounding yourself with positive influences. Listen to uplifting music. Find the small things in life that make you happy. Be positive and make changes happen. To empower you and to encourage you into a more positive road, I made some beautiful printable from photos I took myself. I hope you enjoy them and I hope it helps remind you every day. Simply click on the link below or the photo and print them out. Place them around your house to keep you focused and positive. Positive printable
- Remove Negativity:The next step into a more happy and healthy outlook is to Remove the Negativity around you: Once you remove all the negativity you will feel so much better. Even the small changes, will have huge results on your road to a more positive outlook. Start by removing negative people from your everyday life and trust me it is much easier than you think. For example, you can delete friends on Facebook if you find they are constantly posting negativity. Hide posts you don’t want to see. To remove negativity around me, I have even blocked a few people because I just don’t want to worry about their views. Report posts on social media you don’t want to see and unfollow pages that only post negativity. Walk away from negative conversations. You do not need to explain yourself to anyone. Your happiness matters.
- Be Healthy: Stay healthy and eat right. Visit your doctor every single year. I know I get caught up myself and forget to go to the doctors. Working in a clinic for so many years you think I would be the first to go but I am not. It is a constant battle. Recently I joined the gym to get more health. I do feel much happier when I am taking care of myself. you are the only one who can do it. I have a friend Paula, that suffers from incontinence. I just adore her, she has such a great attitude and remains positive. She suffers daily always worried about leaking and having accidents. Paula let me in on one of her little secrets, TENA® incontinence products for women has helped her stay positive.
