Wondering which TV shows and movies are worth binge watching on Netflix? Here’s my guide to some of the top picks on the streaming site. Clear your schedule for next week! There’s plenty to keep you busy…
The Walking Dead
Based on a comic of the same name, The Walking Dead is the perfect choice for TV fans who love watching scary shows filled with plenty of frights! Andrew Lincoln plays the main character, a sheriff’s deputy who wakes up after being in a coma. Upon awakening, he finds out that the world has been taken over by zombies. He then goes on to form a group with other survivors. Together, this band of survivors must adapt to this new post-apocalyptic world and try to fight the zombies in order to survive.
If you speak to any superhero fan, they will tell you that Fantastic Four is the crème de la crème! It came out back in 2005 so you might have seen it already. If so, you will know that it is so entertaining, it is certainly worthy of a second viewing! The movie is about four friends who each develop a superhero power while they are in a space station. When they return to Planet Earth, they decide to use their newfound powers to fight crime. There are two film versions of this movie, so don’t get confused with the 2015 release as this wasn’t so highly rated.
The website www.netflixupdate.com tells which shows are currently the most popular ones on the streaming platform. Just taking a quick look at it, we can see that cookery shows are incredibly big with viewers. And one of the best cooking and food shows has to be Chef’s Table. This documentary series profiles a different big-name chef in each episode. We are taken behind the scenes in their restaurant’s kitchen to see how they come up with all their world-class dishes. Previous chefs to appear include Niki Nakayama of the N/Naka Restaurant in Los Angeles.
How I Met Your Mother
When How I Met Your Mother (HIMYM) ended in 2014, some fans weren’t too happy with the ending. But, if you haven’t watched this enormously popular comedy show, it is well worth starting from the beginning and getting to know the group of friends who the show is based on. During all the seasons, you will find out how the lead character, Ted Mosby, meets his wife and the mother of his children.
If you love watching romantic or weepy movies, why not tune into Atonement? It’s based on a novel of the same name by Ian McEwan and takes place in England during World War One. The movie stars Keira Knightley, James McAvoy, and Benedict Cumberbatch, so you know you are in for an entertaining watch!
