Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce

Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce is an irresistible creamy parmesan cheese sauce with a hint of garlic over fettuccini. Fettuccine alfredo is my go-to meal when we go out to eat. This is one of the easiest recipes to make right at home.

Ingredients for Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp butter: Use real butter, not margarine.
  • 2 cloves garlic: you can use minced garlic or garlic powder.
  • 2 Tbsp flour: We used all-purpose flour.
  • 2 cups heavy cream: You can use half and half.
  • 1 cup whole milk: Use full-fat milk, not skim.
  • 4oz grated parmesan cheese: Freshly grated cheese works best.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

    Step-by-Step Directions for Fettuccine Alfredo

    Step 1

    Melt butter over medium-high heat and add minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

    Whisk in flour, making a roux.

    Add heavy whipping cream and Milk, then continue cooking over low heat until the sauce becomes thick and bubbly.

    Stir Parmesan Cheese into the thickened sauce. Continue cooking on low until the cheese is melted.
