Salisbury Steak Recipe
This was my first time making salisbury steak. I always love it but never knew how to do it. Now that I see how easy it was this will be a regular meal in my house. My husband and I loved this dish.
You will Need:
1 pound of ground beef or ground turkey
1/2 of a onion
1 tsp of garlic powder
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
2 cups of beef broth
1 cup of bread crumbs
1 8oz package of mushrooms
Mix together ground meat, egg, chopped onions, 1 cup of bread crumbs, 1 tsp of garlic powder and 1/4 cup of cream of mushroom soup. Shape into oval patties.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown both sides of patties. Remove patties from the pan and set aside.
Now using the same pan saute the mushrooms 2 minutes add beef broth and remainder of cream of mushroom soup. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil. Place the patties back in the sauce and continue cooking on a medium heat until patties are no longer pink about 10-15 minutes depending on how thick you made your patties.
Serve with mashed potatoes and a veggie of your choice. I did need to thicken up my gravy slightly with flour.
