Football season has begun. Every Sunday I love to make a big meal and finger foods for my husband and son while they watch the BIG Game.

Of course, every year their team sucks but I can’t tell them that. To help ease the pain, I prepare a bunch of food for them to eat. This year I made a simple Skillet Chicken Wing Dip that was a huge hit.
What Sauce Do You Use For Chicken Wing Dip
I used the creamy ranch buffalo sauce. It mixes buffalo sauce and ranch together for one insane flavor punch!
If you can’t find it you are more than welcome to use any of your favorite buffalo sauces you like, I just enjoyed how the ranch helped to tame down the heat slightly in this recipe.
What If I Don’t Own A Cast Iron Skillet
You do not need a cast iron to make this recipe. If you have an oven-safe skillet that is best. Otherwise, you can use a baking dish to transfer the dip into and bake in the oven!
So don’t feel you can’t make this dip. You sure can, just use an 8×8 baking dish instead.
Can I Use Precooked Chicken For This Chicken Dip Recipe
Absolutely! All you need to do is take your shredded or diced chicken and mix it in. I have frozen shredded chicken and used that many times for this recipe and it works great.
So if you have leftover rotisserie chicken or even frozen diced, use it! You just want the chicken to be mild in flavor and not be overly seasoned.

Can I Reheat Buffalo Dip
This dip reheats very nice. Just heat up in the microwave or opt to do it in the oven. Once it gets hot again you will find it melts into that creamy and cheesy consistency again.
How Long Can Buffalo Chicken Skillet Dip Last
You can store this dip in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. I always recommend using your best judgment in quality. If you feel it is going bad toss it out and don’t risk eating more leftovers.
Does Skillet Chicken Dip Freeze Well
Because of the ingredients used you will find that the cheesy portion of the dip does not freeze well. It can separate once it is thawed and offer a different texture.

- 16 oz cream cheese
- 16 oz cheese
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken
- 1 cup buffalo wing sauce
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In a small saucepan cover chicken with water and boil on high for 10 minutes.
- Remove and separate chicken with a fork making shredded chicken
- In your mixer or blender place softened cream cheese, chicken, cheddar cheese and 1 cup of Moore's Creamy Ranch Buffalo Wing Sauce.
- Spread mixture into the bottom of your cast iron skillet
- Cover the top of the mix with more cheddar cheese and more wing sauce.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly
