The 5 Minute Healthy Breakfast with Johnsonville Fully Cooked Breakfast Sausage
For the new year, I always have the resolution to get healthy and lose weight. This year I am actually going to do it. I sit home blogging and I gained weight. It is not pretty to be fat and 40. It is hard because I don’t usually eat a breakfast. I usually do not have time so I run out of the house with a coffee. Being a nurse I know very well breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Like I always say do as I say not as I do. I need to start taking my own advice. I have been trying out new breakfast ideas that are healthy. I found Johnsonville® Fully Cooked Sausage TURKEY links right at Walmart. With 70% less fat than USDA data for cooked pork sausage, 8g of protein per serving (2 links), no fillers, and no MSG. Let me tell you I was one happy mom when I found these.
I decided to try out the 5-minute breakfast in a bowl. This was literally the easiest breakfast I have ever made. This is perfect for anyone on the go who likes to skip breakfast. Now I have NO excuses.
you will need:
1 mushroom sliced
a few slices of scallions
2 Johnsonville® Fully Cooked Sausage TURKEY links.
1 slice of tomato
Microwave safe bowl.
Directions: Place tomato in the bottom of the microwave-safe bowl, add sliced mushrooms and scallions. Next, cut the Johnsonville® Fully Cooked Sausage TURKEY links in half. Place on top of the veggies. Crack the egg and put over the mixture. Salt and pepper to taste. Microwave for 2 minutes on high. That is it. Enjoy your healthy breakfast.
