My Trip to the Clinton Farmers Market
My Trip to the Clinton Farmers Market
I have lived in the Mohawk Valley my entire life. My kids went to school in Clinton NY. One the things I love about being in a small town is the Farmers Market. Every thursday from May – October Clinton hosts a farmers market right on the Village Green. Every year it seems to grow. I used to take my kids every week when they were small, I think there were three or four vendors back then?? Since I moved out of Clinton I have not had the chance to visit the farmers market in a few years. This year I decided to check it out and OMG I was shocked. There must have been 30-40 vendors. Who would have thought their is so much talent in this little town. Each vendor offers there talents whether it be baked goods, crafts, or fresh grown fruits and veggies. My first stop was some fresh squeezed Lemon aid. Let me tell you this was delicious. They made the lemonade from lemons right in front of me.
I think i can spend the whole day just looking around and enjoying the flowers. There is so many wonderful vendors to look around at. I did not have time to get to all of them.
I was in awe of all the talent I found at the Clinton Farmers Market. I found Dianne’s Porcelain. She hand paints all her pieces. Her work was amazing. She does not have an online shop but she is looking into starting one. I just fell in love with Riedi’sHandcrafted Gifts and Jewlery. What I love is it is a husband and wife team. She makes some amazing hand crafted jewelry and he makes some beautiful hand crafted wood pieces. They do have a facebook page and take orders.
I ended my day with a home-made Banana and Nutella Crepe. There was so much to do and see at the Clinton Farmers Market. I hope to go again next week.
