My trip to the #LaZoo for #AvengersEvent&#MonkeyKingdom
*** I was provided with an all expense paid trip for this event. Although all opinions are 100% mine****
My trip to LA for the #AvengersEvent was a whirlwind of memories even more than I could dream of. I was able to preview the movie #MonkeyKingdom followed by a visit to the #LaZoo. Who could ask for more? I love the Zoo!
The LA Zoo is one amazing place. The LosAngeles Zoo is 133 acres and home to more than 1,100 mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles. After viewing Disney’s Monkey Kingdom I could not wait to see the monkey exhibits at the #LaZoo.
I must say this trip to the Zoo was no ordinary visit. We were treated very well it felt like first class treatment at the zoo. We had a tour guide give us detailed information on each of the animals. We were also able to ride in a cart to each exhibit. What special treatment!
The Siamang Monkey’s were my absolute favorite! They have a throat sac can inflate to a size comparable to the Siamang’s entire head. They use these sacs to produce their loud, booming calls in order to establish or defend their territory from other Siamangs nearby.
The #LaZoo also is home to many babies. I loved seeing the baby hippo and the little kangaroo baby. Right now LaZoo is having a contest to name the baby. You could win a GoPro HERO4 and a family deluxe membership to the Zoo. To see how to enter CLICK HERE
My day at the #LaZoo was amazing. We even had lunch sitting outside at the Zoo followed by a ride on the Carousel. There is something for everyone at the #LaZoo. You can connect with LaZoo on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and youtube.
Want to see more monkeys? You are in luck! Monkey Kingdom opens in Theaters EVERYWHERE on Friday April 17th! This is a can’t miss movie. Meet Maya and follow her on her adventures.
Life is an adventure for Maya, the clever and resourceful blonde-bobbed monkey in “Monkey Kingdom,” Disneynature’s new feature film set among ancient ruins in the storied jungles of South Asia. Maya’s world is forever changed when she welcomes her son, Kip, into her complicated extended family. Like all families, Maya’s has more than its share of colorful personalities—and she’s determined to give her son a leg up in the world. When their longtime home at Castle Rock is taken over by powerful neighboring monkeys, Maya’s whole family is forced to relocate, and she uses her street smarts and ingenuity to lead them to untapped resources amidst strange new creatures and unsettling surroundings. Ultimately, they will all have to work together to reclaim Castle Rock, where Maya can hopefully realize her dreams for her son’s future.
For every ticket sold opening week (April 17-23, 2015), Disneynature will make a donation to Conservation International to help protect monkeys and other endangered species in their natural habitats.
