I like keeping roasted garlic on hand because it adds so much flavor without much work. I can mash it into potatoes, stir it into pasta or soups, or spread the soft cloves right onto warm bread.

How to Make Air Fryer Roasted Garlic

Prep the Garlic: Slice the top off each garlic bulb to expose the cloves. Place each bulb on its own square of foil.

Add the Olive Oil: Drizzle each bulb with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Season with salt and pepper, if desired, then wrap the foil tightly around each bulb.

Air Fry: Place the wrapped garlic bulbs in a single layer in the air fryer. Air fry at 400°F for 15 minutes, or until the cloves are soft and tender.

Remove the Garlic: Carefully unwrap the bulbs. Once cool enough to handle, gently squeeze the roasted garlic cloves from the skins. Sprinkle with fresh parsley, if desired, and use as needed.

Tips I Found Helpful 💙

  • Check for Softness: Garlic bulb sizes vary, so add a few extra minutes if the cloves aren’t soft after 15 minutes.
  • Wrap Tightly: Keep the foil sealed around each bulb so the olive oil stays inside instead of dripping into the air fryer.
  • No Peeling Needed: Leave the papery skin on and roast the garlic bulb whole.
