Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • Use a candy thermometer for best results. If you do not have one, make sure to start timing once the candy has reached a rolling boil. Boil for 3 minutes.
  • When it comes to the chocolate chips,  you can use any type that you prefer. I alternate between semi-sweet, milk, dark, and white chocolate chips.
  • Use a good quality chocolate when making this recipe.
  • Add sprinkles to the tops if you prefer. You can also use chopped nuts or small chocolate candies.
  • Pay special attention to the toffee when it is boiling. It can quickly burn if you aren’t paying attention.
  • When you are breaking your toffee into pieces it does not need to be perfect! Feel free to just break it into all kinds of sizes to give it character.
