The Best Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

One tip I recommend is looking for larger stalks. If you use skinny asparagus, the asparagus will break down too much before the bacon is done leaving it a bit mushy.

Cooking your asparagus in the Ninja Foodi or Air Fryer allows air to flow all over cooking the bacon in every direction, helping to get it nice and crispy. Making your wrapped asparagus in the Foodi or Air Fryer allows you to make this recipe year round, and not limited to grilling months out of the year.

Can I Use Frozen Asparagus

You could use frozen asparagus, but you will have a different texture at the end. It won’t be as crisp and will become a bit mushier in texture as it cooks. You would also need to thaw the asparagus first or adjust cook time to ensure it heats all the way through. Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Picking The Right Asparagus Stalks

You will start to see fresh asparagus in it’s prime soon at your local grocery store. When selecting fresh asparagus to make sure your stalks are nice and firm and offer no smelly odor. If your asparagus is soft or mushy, it is on the verge or already gone bad. Aim to pick asparagus that is uniform in size, so you get a more even cooking time overall the wrapped asparagus.
