I’m always trying to find new ways to make chicken because plain, bland chicken breast dinners are the worst. This quick and easy recipe is one that everyone in your family will love–you may even get a marriage proposal out of it.

This Marry Me chicken is definitely a winner, whether I’m looking for new ways to make chicken taste better like my Chicken Franchaise or Air Fryer Parmesan Crusted Chicken. It’s one of my favorite dishes.

What Ingredients do you need to get started?

Marry Me Chicken Ingredients
  • Chicken breast or 3 larger breasts
  • salt
  • pepper
  • all-purpose flour
  • ghee or butter
  • minced garlic
  • chicken stock
  • heavy cream
  • parmesan cheese
  • crushed red pepper flakes
  • Italian seasoning 
  • sundried tomatoes
  • Fresh basil

Step by Step Directions to make Marry me chicken dinner.

  • Cut the chicken breasts into cutlets until you have 6 total cutlets.

  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Dredge chicken breasts in the flour.

  • In a large cast-iron skillet, melt the ghee or butter over medium heat.
  • Once the ghee or butter is melted
  • Sear the chicken for 5 minutes per side, and work in batches.

  • Transfer chicken to a plate and set aside.
  • Bring the heat to a medium-low.
  • In the same cast-iron skillet add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

  • Add the chicken stock, heavy cream, parmesan cheese, crushed red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning.

  • Allow to come to a simmer, stirring constantly.
  • Add the sundried tomatoes and the chicken and let simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened slightly. 

  • Garnish the chicken with fresh chopped basil and serve over pasta.

  • Pound Chicken to 1″ thick for even cooking.
  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper before dredging with flour.

  • Use a cast iron pan or a quality Stainless Steel for even cooking.

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons ghee or butter
  • 1 ½ teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • ½ cup sundried tomato strips
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions
