If you don’t own a Ninja Foodi, you can use your Air Fryer to get that golden crispy outside as well. I love a homemade french fry, and I have mastered the technique, and now I will share it with you!
The Ninja Foodi has become an instant best friend status with me. I use my Ninja Foodi all the time, from making loaded mashed potatoes, crispy wings, and the list continues. You can even make desserts in your Foodi! If you are on the fence of buying a Ninja Foodi, my advice, Just Do It!
How to Make Air Fryer Steak Fries
Start with using the electric pressure cooker setting. This is going to break down and cook the potatoes a little bit to give them the soft and tender centers. Then you swap lids for the Air Fryer crisping lid, which will golden up the outside and give you the nice crunchy outside. Seasoned to perfection, and made in minimal time.
Pair with your favorite chicken sandwich, a juicy burger, chicken tenders. Or serve these up as a snack, no matter when or how you serve them, they are going to be a hit every time.
How Do You Make The Best Homemade Steak Fries
Follow my recipe, and you will have the best homemade steak fries. You can always play with seasonings to add different flavors to them or leave the recipe as it is. Either way, I would say this is a straightforward and tasty steak fry recipe that can’t be beaten.
If you would like to try regular cut garlic fries you can find the recipe over at Sprinkles to Sparkles Or some Sweet Potato Fries over at The Salty Pot all done in your Ninja Foodi.
What Kind of Potatoes Work Best for Steak Fries
You want a sweet and starchy potato like the russet for making steak fries. The starch in the potato will give you a more fluffy texture, and still allow to crisp up the edges. Now if you used something like a red potato or Yukon, it will be waxier and won’t cook up near as lovely.

How to Cut Steak Fries
What I like to do is cut your potato in half, and then work on making your potatoes being cut in quarters. Then cut the quarter slices into another quarter, and repeat. Do this until your potatoes are sliced into 1/2 inch thick slices.
If you follow the steps on my recipe, you will end up with the perfect steak fry recipe that is straightforward: minimal ingredients, a little prep, and an epic result.
