Tips for Planning An Easter Family Dinner
When you are in charge of hosting Easter dinner you might find it can be a bit overwhelming. Spend less time in the kitchen by using your instant Pot and cooking up 12 Instant Pot Easter Recipes and more time with family with these helpful Easter tips below.
Decorate and Set Table
Set up decorations a day or two ahead of time. Then the night before, set your table so it is ready for Easter. This will save you time the day of Easter from having to do it. I can always sleep easier knowing the house is clean and decorations are out and ready for tomorrow.
Prep Ahead
Do as much prep work you can before Easter. This is prepping any dish you can by cutting up produce, cooking up any desserts or sides that you can that are okay to be reheated. That way when Easter comes and guest begin to arrive you can spend more time chatting than in the kitchen cooking and feeling overwhelmed at the amount of work you have left to do.
I have made dinner rolls early, desserts, and prepped sides to just get reheated on the day of the dinner. For the rolls, I simply wrap in aluminum foil and toss in the oven to warm them up, so when I go to serve them they are nice and warm like they just came out of the oven fresh.
Make A List
Write out a list of all the items on the menu, that way you don’t overlook something. I can’t tell you how many times I have forgotten to make a dish or set it out once guest arrives. This is a great way to plan what items you need to cook to keep you on schedule as well.
Utilize Appliances
Grab your slow cookers, Instant Pot, and of course your oven and other appliances you have. That way you can cook as many dishes at one time. With the Instant Pot, I can cook multiple meals in a minimal amount of time and then transfer to a dish and keep them warm on the stove, or in the oven until we are ready to serve them.
