Yes, you can use plain, but the panko gives a nice crispy crust with a beautiful texture.

Do I have to use mayonnaise?

The mayo makes a nice juicy Porkchop and holds the bread crumbs on the chops in the air fryer.

Will I taste the mayonnaise?

No, you will not taste the mayo in your pork. This just helps keep the juice in the meat.

  1. These looked so good before going in air fryer. I followed the direction to a T. I sprayed the fryer basket first too. ALL of the breading fell off sadly. They were a bit overdone to my liking. Maybe my chops were too small.
