  2. 7-Up Soda: Adds a light lemon-lime flavor.

    1. Can you only purchase a 7″ bundt pan on Amazon? I’ve looked at my stores here in town and they don’t carry 7″ pans. Only 6,8 & 10.

    1. I agree. I don’t understand this either. It doesn’t seem like anything is done in the pot during the sauté time.

      1. I only used the saute while I was preparing so the pot would be warm when I put the cake in and it would take less time to come to pressure 🙂

  1. I made this tonight!! It was delicious! I used a 6 c. bundt pan in a 6 qt. IP. I may have filled it too much, but it didn’t overflow. I did have to even out the bottom which was a little “damp” anyway. Otherwise, PERFECTION! Thank you! So fun!

  3. This is an amazing consistently good recipe. I have made it several times, and it is always received with utter delight. I like to top it with a lemon and powdered sugar (with some lemon zest) glaze and fresh blueberries. Yum! Thank you for this exceedingly easy and delicious recipe!

  4. The cake came out perfect! I couldn’t be more pleased with the result.
Is the carbonated soda necessary or could a “flat” liquid work as well?
I was thinking coffee or orange juice or something similar

    1. I used flat ginger ale that had been sitting for a bit. The cake turned out perfectly fine. I think it provides flavor, and color in some instances. I would be curious to see how coffee or juice would work. This recipe is so easy, it would be worth a try.

  5. I didn’t have any 7up but I had a cake mix and didn’t want to heat up the house. I also wanted to try my Egg Bites Cake mold. So I used your recipe for reference and made a few changes, wanted to share in case someone wanted to try this another way because it came out really good.
I used 1 Cup Almond Milk, .5 Cup Oil, Confetti Cake Mix, 2 Eggs, 2 egg Yolks. I greased the egg molds [made 3 batches=21 Egg Bites], filled them about 3/4 Full. Manual, High Pressure 9 Minutes, Quick Release. They were very moist. They were a weird shape to frost, so I cut them in half and put the frosting on the inside like a little sandwich :). Thanks for your recipe, I wouldn’t have known what to do without that point of reference 🙂

  6. Hi I can’t wait to try this I’m going to make it this morning for a family gathering two questions:
did you cover it with foil?
And how long did you wait before you turned it out of the pan?
    Thanks!

  7. So glad I found your page. I was searching for a better bundt for my instant pot than the painted Nordic Ware version…. This is fabulous!

  8. I used your recipe and substituted white cake mix and added a small box of strawberry jello to make strawberry cake!

  9. I made this with chocolate cake mix and a bottle of BC raspberry Coke. Couldn’t taste the raspberry but the cake was amazing. Didn’t ice it or powdered sugar it, and it was just great on its own. It was super moist and had a great texture. I found it a little bit oily but I think that’s probably what made it so good…
I currently have the white cake & Sprite version in the IP., expecting similarly amazing results!

  10. Does the cake need to be covered in the Instant Pot? Several people asked but there was never a response.
