These Air Fryer Sweet Potato Curly Fries are made super easy with a zoodle maker and an air fryer – within 20 minutes you’ll have an easy and tasty snack or side dish!
I love sweet potato fries. My weird little food secret is that I think they’re better than normal fries – they are sweet and salty, the flavor is heightened with any dip, and they’re still good cold.
But I had never tried curly sweet potato fries before, and I had never considering the possibilities of air frying. Baking sweet potatoes never give me the crisp that I want, but I never want to break out all the tools needed for deep frying. Sweet Potato Curly Fries without the hassle of deep-frying? Sign me up!
What do I need to get started?
- An air fryer.
- A spiralizer or a Kitchen-Aid attachment.
- Sweet potatoes.
- Olive oil.
- Salt and pepper.
How to make Sweet Potato Curly Fries in the Air Fryer
This is SO easy, takes only 15 minutes of cooking time, and requires so few ingredients that you will want sweet potato fries all the time!
You start by cutting the sweet potatoes with a spiralizer. While you are doing this, preheat the air fryer to 400.
Take your spiralized sweet potatoes and coat them with olive oil (you can use cooking spray if that’s all you have, but I recommend using olive oil.)
Place them in a single layer on the air fryer basket, and cook for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, flip them with tongs and cook until they’re golden brown – about another 5 minutes.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste, and then dip in your favorite sauce!
What sauce should I dip my fries in?
These fries go well with any sauce, but I recommend this Honey Sriracha sauce. Honey mustard is always a good option, or even chipotle sauce would be a good flavor combo!
Storage for Air Fryer Sweet Potato Curly Fries
I do not recommend saving these for more than 3-4 days. If you’ve found they lost their crisp, put them back in the air fryer for another minute before serving.
