Air Fryer Curly Zucchini Fries
How do you make curly zucchini fries? Well, all you need is a spiralizer. This will give you the long twirled zucchini strings that will be your fries.
Do You Peel Zucchini for Curly Fries
You can peel your zucchini or opt to wash and leave the skins on. I find leaving the skins on adds a bit of texture and helps a bit. Plus it is easier to not have to peel.
But if you are not a fan feel free to peel your zucchini before you spiralize.
Can I Bake Instead of Air Fry
Yes, you sure can bake fries in the oven instead of the air fryer. Just make sure you have a fully preheated oven. Then you will possibly have to cook longer, to crisp out the breading. You will use the same temperature for the oven as what it calls for on the air fryer.
How To Cut Curly Zucchini Noodles
I used a spiralizer to get my noodles cut. It takes just minutes to wind up so that it spiralizes the noodles. You can find a handful of styles to buy, and it is all about personal preference on what you want.
What to Serve With Zucchini Curly Fries
- Ranch dressing
- Sprinkle with salt and eat plain
- Make a yogurt based dip
- Barbeque Sauce
- Honey Mustard
Truly you can dip almost anything with these fries! I tend to reach for ranch, but be creative and mix and match.
I have even mixed ranch and bbq together and then dipped these fries. It was instantly delicious as well.
Can I Use Pork Rinds For Low Carb Options
If you are on a low carb diet you can crush up plain pork rinds to replace bread crumbs or even panko crumbs.
It will cut out some carbs and make these fries even less of a guilty treat. Then just dust with some salt or even pepper to help bring out more flavor.

How To Get Breading To Brown Up In Air Fryer
You can use an oil mister to spritz on your zucchini fries; this is going to help allow the outside breading to coat up. It is not recommended to use cooking spray as that can peel off the coating on your racks or basket.
But you can easily spritz with an oil spray that is safe for your air fryer. It works great in giving you that fried look without all the excess oil.
Spread Zucchini Noodles Out When Air Frying
You also want to make sure you don’t overstuff your air fryer. As the air circulates that is what is going to give your fries and even-cook.
You can also give the zucchini noodle fries a toss in the middle of cooking to help evenly coat the crispy texture on the outside. Then pile on a plate, top with fresh herbs, and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
