These two chicken dishes are similar. The biggest difference is in Francese you will find you bread your chicken before you cook. Then both dishes are cooked in a lemon butter sauce that is delicious. Piccata has capers in it, and Francese doesn’t.

What Is A Good White Wine For Cooking Chicken Francese?

Any crisp and fresh white wine will work great for use in your Francese recipe. You could reach for a Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, or even an Unoaked Chardonnay. The acidity in the wine helps, and you want around 10-13% alcohol for the recipe.

You can pair almost anything with this recipe. I like to serve it with a side of pasta to help soak up all the sauce. Then we will do green kale or spinach salad on the side. Or you could cook up asparagus, broccoli, or even garlic bread or breadsticks. It is all about what you feel fits your taste buds. Scalloped potatoes, brussels sprouts, and more are more options.

Best Way To Reheat Chicken Francese

If you don’t have romano cheese or don’t like it, you can reach for another hard cheese. Parmesan is very popular or even Asiago will work. Just grate it with your grater and sprinkle away. I love the sharpness it adds to the chicken and pasta.
