Easy Skillet Chicken Francese
Chicken Francese is one of our favorite French American chicken recipes to make. Battered and pan-fried chicken that is then paired with Romano cheese and parsley and paired with angel hair pasta in a lemon butter sauce. This chicken dish will blow you away with flavor, and taste better than ordering takeout from your favorite restaurant.

Ingredients needed for chicken francese
- chicken breast
- olive oil
- butter
- chicken broth
- flour
- eggs
- white wine
- lemon
How to make Chicken Franchese
- Cut chicken breast in half.
- Pound chicken with meat mallet. Making sure each piece is about 1/2 inch thick.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Prepare dipping station.
- One Bowl of flour and garlic powder
- and one bowl with whisked eggs making an egg mixture.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet
- Dip each chicken cutlet in the flour then in the egg batter.
- Dip again in flour.
- Repeat with remaining chicken cutlets.
- Add butter to your olive oil.
- Place chicken in heated pan in a single layer.
- Allow chicken to get golden brown about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Cut a lemon in half and squeeze juice over chicken pieces. Place rest of lemon slices in pan cut side down.
- Remove Chicken when golden brown and place on paper towel lined plate.
- Immediatly Pour wine in the skillet and scrape pan to remove all bits stuck to the bottom.
- Add a butter and chicken broth to the pan.
- Return Chicken to the pan and allow sauce to thicken.
- Add lemon slices to the top of your chicken.
- Serve over angel hair pasta and top with romano cheese.

What Is The Difference Between Chicken Piccata and Chicken Francese?
These two chicken dishes are similar. The biggest difference is in Francese you will find you bread your chicken before you cook. Then both dishes are cooked in a lemon butter sauce that is delicious. Piccata has capers in it, and Francese doesn’t.
What Is A Good White Wine For Cooking Chicken Francese?

- 1/2 cup white wine
- 2 lemons
- salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
