Ingredient Notes

  1. Eggs: Large eggs work best for these breakfast sandwiches. Season them with a little salt and pepper before cooking.
  2. English Muffins: Use your favorite English muffins for the base of the sandwich. Split them before assembling so they’re ready to toast.
  3. Bacon: One slice per sandwich adds smoky, crispy flavor. You can also substitute breakfast sausage or Canadian bacon if you prefer.
  4. American Cheese: Melts quickly and gives the sandwich that classic fast-food breakfast flavor. Cheddar cheese can also be used.
  5. Salt & Pepper: A simple seasoning for the eggs. Add to taste before cooking.

Tips I Found Helpful

  • Spray the rings well: Coat the Mason jar rings with cooking spray so the eggs release easily.
  • Check the eggs early: Air fryers cook differently, so check the eggs after about 5 minutes and remove them once they’re cooked to your preferred doneness.
  • Watch the bacon separately: The bacon may finish before or after the eggs depending on its thickness.
  • Don’t over-toast the muffins: Check the English muffins early since they can brown quickly at 400°F.
  • Add the cheese while everything is hot: The heat from the egg and toasted muffin will help melt the American cheese.
  • Make them your own: Swap the bacon for Canadian bacon, ham, or breakfast sausage if you want a different breakfast sandwich. 🍳🥓
