When I decided to make this recipe I could not decide if I wanted to make bacon-wrapped pickles stuffed with a cream cheese filling or just make the stuffed pickles stuffed with cheese bacon goodness. I decided to try both out and pop them in my air fryer to see which is better.

Best of all these bacon-wrapped pickles are Keto Diet friendly! With the Smoky Bacon, Pickle Spears, and cream cheese filling you can not go wrong.

Yes, Air Fryer keto Fried Pickles are on a keto-friendly Diet. These keto fried pickles have little to no carbs and are a great appetizer for anyone on a keto diet.

What do you need to make bacon wrapped pickles or stuffed pickles?

You basically need the same ingredients to make either bacon-wrapped or stuffed pickles. This is why I decided to try both for one recipe.

Ingredients for bacon wrapped pickles
  • Large Dill Pickles
  • Thin Sliced Bacon
  • Cream Cheese
  • Ranch Seasoning
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Small Spoon
  • Air Fryer ( I used my instant pot duo crisp)
  • ranch dressings for dipping

How to Make Keto Friendly Air Fryer Stuffed Pickles with Bacon Or Bacon Wrapped Pickles.

For the bacon-wrapped pickles:

  1. Split large pickle in half legnth wise.
  2. Using a small spoon remove the seeds from inside the pickle.
  3. In a small bowl mix together cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and ranch seasonings.
  4. Pat dry each pickle by paper towelling each one.
  5. Stuff each pickle with cream cheese mixture.
  6. Use one piece of bacon and wrap it around the pickle.
  7. Place in air fryer in single layer.
  8. Cook on air fry for 12 minutes until Bacon is Crispy on the outside.

For the Stuffed Pickles without bacon wrap.

  1. Use directions same as above 1-3.
  2. Add 3 Strips of Cooked bacon (cut bacon in small pieces) to cheese mixture. Or use bacon bits.
  3. Stuff each pickle with bacon and cheese mixture.
  4. Place in air fryer in single layer.
  5. Cook on 390 for 4-5 minutes or until top is golden brown.

Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • You want to find really big dill pickles for this recipe. 
  • Be sure to pat the pickles down prior to you filling them with the cream cheese mixture. 
  • If you want to spice these up a bit you can add some cayenne pepper to the cream cheese mixture. 
  • I love to use cheddar cheese in this recipe, but you can use a different flavor of cheese if you prefer. 
  • This recipe can be doubled or tripled, depending on how many Air Fryer bacon pickles you would like to make. 
  • With all Air Fryer recipes, you want to be sure to not overcrowd your air fryer. Be sure to cook in batches if you need to.

Can I make bacon wrapped pickles in the oven?

Yes, you can place the pickles on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes on 350 until bacon is crispy.

These are best enjoyed fresh and hot! If you choose to save the leftovers, you will want to store them in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 days. 

Storage

To reheat, I would warm these back up in the air fryer for about 3-4 minutes or until hot.

Ingredients

Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Pickles

  • 6 large pickles
  • 12 slices of bacon
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded (about 4 oz)
  • 1 tbs ranch seasoning

Stuffed Pickles

  • 3 slices cooked bacon
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp ranch seasonings
  • 6 large dill pickles

Instructions

  1. Split large pickle in half length-wise.
  2. Using a small spoon remove the seeds from inside the pickle.
  3. Mix together cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and ranch seasonings in a small bowl.
  4. Pat dry each pickle by paper toweling each one.
  5. Stuff each pickle with cream cheese mixture.
  6. Use one piece of bacon and wrap it around the pickle.
  7. Place in the air fryer in a single layer
  8. Cook on-air fry for 12 minutes until Bacon is Crispy on the outside.
  9. For Stuffed Pickles:
  10. Use directions same as above 1-3.
