Behold, the Air Fryer Chicken Bacon Ranch Poppers! A tender and juicy chicken meatball with cheddar cheese stuffed in the center and wrapped with bacon. Cook up in your Air Fryer for the perfect game day appetizer or switch up your weeknight dinner! A low carb recipe that curbs those cravings.
I love meatballs, but I hadn’t had a chicken meatball in a long time. I wanted to dress it up and that is where my chicken bacon ranch balls came in to play. It is a great take on the popper recipes you see where a jalapeno pepper is stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon and then cooked to crispy perfection.
Air Fryer Chicken Bacon Ranch Poppers
My husband almost jumped for joy when he bit into the popper and saw cheese in the center. The mix of ranch paired with the chicken was phenomenal and then you add in the cheese and bacon to elevate the flavors. We love Crack chicken in our home, so having a bite-size Crack Chicken Bomb to bite into was a must for us.

Low Carb Chicken Bacon Ranch Balls
Best of all, these low carb chicken bacon ranch balls are light. No heavy carbs that leave you feeling heavy or guilty for eating. The Air Fryer will crisp up the outside to leave the bacon crispy on the outside with a juicy and tender chicken meatball stuffed with cheese. Dynamite chicken recipe right here.
Do You Use Pre-Ground Chicken or Grind Your Own Chicken
I personally used the pre-ground chicken you can buy in the store. It has a nice consistency and works great for molding into the meatball shape.
Can I Swap Mozzarella Cheese with Cheddar Cheese for Chicken Bacon Poppers
Yes! You can swap out the cheddar cheese with mozzarella, pepper jack for a kick or even Monterey Jack. Just make sure it is blocked cheese that you cube up. I love the cheddar paired with the ranch, but you are welcome to use any cheese you and your family prefer.
Can I Use Homemade Ranch for Chicken Bacon Ranch Meatballs
Of course! Just use equal amounts for what is called for in the recipe. I have used homemade ranch mix when I was in a bind, and it works just as good as the package!
How to Store Air Fryer Chicken Bacon Ranch Poppers
If you have leftovers just put them in the fridge for up to three days. Then when you want to reheat either warm them in the oven or microwave. The bacon will become slightly chewy but they will taste amazing still.
Is Air Fryer Chicken Bacon Ranch Poppers Recipe An Appetizer or Main Dish
Either! I have made these for dinner and they were gobbled right up. I think it would make an incredible appetizer as well for entertaining. Pair with your favorite dipping sauce or serve as is. These chicken bacon meatballs are fantastic.
