Flip Bacon Half Way Through Cooking

Making sure you flip your bacon half way through is key to making bacon in your Air Fryer. This will ensure you have an even cook on both sides of the bacon. Just halfway through the cooking time, open it up, and use tongs to flip your bacon. Just make sure not to touch sides as it is very hot.

What Texture Is Bacon When Cooked In Air Fryer

The beauty of cooking in the Air Fryer is it is all on you. If you like softer bacon, then watch the doneness and pull it out when it reaches the consistency you enjoy. If you like extra crispy bacon, leave it in a bit longer. It is all about the preference that you can control when to pull it, just like if you cooked in the oven or stovetop.

Best Way To Store Leftover Bacon

Place your bacon in a bag or airtight container and store in the fridge for up to three days. You can just reheat your bacon in the microwave or eat it cold. I have used leftover bacon to add in recipes and casseroles that called for chopped bacon.

Recipes that use Bacon:

Instant Pot Crack Chicken,  Instant Pot Cracked up Chicken and broccoli, Bacon Cucumber Salad.

How To Prevent Air Fryer From Smoking When Cooking Bacon

Some experience their Air Fryer smokes from the bacon grease dripping. If you find this is the issue you can lay a piece of bread to the lower pan to help soak up the grease that drips down.

Also, adding a splash of water to the lower pan is excellent as well, so the grease doesn’t burn up and create the smoke you don’t want. You can also find special parchment paper that you can buy specifically for your Air Fryer.
