They are a savory treat and because of the Ninja Foodi, making homemade crispy wings is a breeze these days. I start with frozen wings, and before you know it, you have wings that taste better than ordering takeout from your favorite wing shop.

4 Ingredient Ninja Foodi Crispy Wings

Yep! Four ingredients are all that is required for quick and easy wings made at home. The Ninja Foodi offers a pressure cooker feature along with a crisping feature. That makes this device the must-have item for making wings. Now, you can use an Instant Pot as well, just toss the wings in the oven to crisp up when done. 

The Instant Pot feature on the Foodi will cook your chicken quickly, meaning you can use frozen chicken, without needing to thaw. Then once you have your wings cooked, you swap lids and use the Air Fryer crisping lid. This is what is going to give your wings that crispy outside while leaving the chicken moist and flavorful.

Best Hot Sauce for Crispy Wings

I generally reach for Franks red hot sauce, but you can always reach for your favorite buffalo hot sauce. We love the heat, paired with ranch and sometimes blue cheese dressing. 

As you can see, there isn’t much to making these stunning crispy wings. They will feed a crowd and great for a weeknight dinner or appetizer to pair with your feast for a party or game day treat. You could even Instant Pot or Ninja Foodi Crispy Buffalo Wings these for tailgating as your Ninja Foodi is easy to load and take with you. All you need is a plugin, and you can make wings on the go.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2.5 pounds Frozen Chicken Wings
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup Franks red hot sauce
  • 1 Stick Butter

Instructions

  1. Place one cup water in the bottom of your pot
  2. Place wings in your fry basket insert if you have a foodi. 
  3. Place on a trivet if you have a instant pot
  4. Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes
  5. Do a quick release
  6. Remove your pressure lid and use the air crisp lid on 400 for 20 minutes
  7. Open every 5 minutes to check for crispness of your desire. 
  8. In a separate bowl Melt butter and mix with hot sauce  
  9. place wings in bowl with sauce and coat well Serve

  1. The Foodi is something I didn’t end up getting. I have so many Ninja products and then cheated on them with the Instant Pot – don’t tell them haha! I had no idea what the big difference was between the two but I had got the Instant Pot as a gift and enjoy it greatly. Now I question if I should break down at some point and get the Foodie too.

    We all have our different favorite sauces so usually we add the sauce on our plates, so it is nice to see a recipe that adds the sauce at the end. I love it hot and everybody has their own level of heat. Wings is something I never thought to make in the IP, going to try them tho 🙂
