Strawberry Mint Iced Tea
I love iced tea, especially in the spring and summer. There is something about sitting outside on the covered porch enjoying the sunshine with a nice glass of iced tea. More recently I have been obsessed with this strawberry mint iced tea! Not only will you love the flavor of it, ut you will love all the health benefits of drinking fresh mint tea!

What are the benefits of drinking fresh mint tea?
There are so many benefits of drinking mint tea that you will want to drink this every day! Mint tea helps with

Prep: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 4 black tea bags
- 6 Cups of water Divided
- 15-20 strawberries
- 1 ½ to 2 cups sugar
- 2-3 sprigs of mint
How to make Strawberry Mint Iced Tea
- In a small saucepan add 3 cups of water and bring to a boil. Once the water starts boiling place tea bags inside and remove from heat. Set aside and allow to steep for at least 10 minutes.
- In a food processor/blender blend strawberries sliced until smooth. In a strainer over a bowl press strawberry Mixture through a fine strained and only pulp remains. Set aside.
- In your preferred pitcher pour cooled tea and add the desired amount of sugar for prepared sweetness. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add remaining 3 cups of water. Add in strained strawberry puree, stirring until combined.
- Depending on the amount of mint flavor you can add fresh mint leaves into the pitcher, or individually with each glass. Stirring and letting the flavor come through. Enjoy!
Tips Tricks and FAQs
- In this recipe, I go for a very subtle mint flavor by adding it to pitcher/individual glass. If you are looking for a more minty flavor, add mint springs to the tea while it is still hot and steeping.
- You can adjust the sweetness based on how much sugar you add. You can add more or less depending on what you like.
- Be sure you let the tea come to room temperature prior to refrigerating.
Storage
You will want to store your strawberry mint tea in the fridge in a pitcher for up to 3 days. Stir before pouring.
How do I serve Iced Tea?
This drink tends to separate a bit when placed in the fridge, so you will want to stir it and then pour over ice. Add mint of garnish if you choose and add some cut fresh strawberries!
What kind of mint should I use to make strawberry mint tea?
In this recipe, we tend to use spearmint the most, but you can use any flavor of mint. Grab what is in season and use that. I have heard rumors that chocolate mint is a delicious addition.
