Every time we go out to eat, I always get filled up on appetizers; it’s my favorite part of the meal. I love going to olive garden and ordering the fried ravioli, lasagna fritta, Texas Roadhouse Fried Pickles, Crab Rangoons, or Applebee’s Spinach and Artichoke Dip.
Ingredients for Air Fryer Ravioli
- Ravioli: Frozen Ravioli or Fresh will work. Cheese ravioli or meat ravioli will work.
- 2 eggs: Whisked eggs.
- 1 cup flour: We used all-purpose flour.
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs: You can use plain bread crumbs, but the panko gives the extra crunch.
- 1 tsp garlic powder: Optional used for the extra flavor.
- Parmesan Cheese: Grated Cheese for garnish.
- Marinara sauce: For dipping, ranch, blue cheese, or pizza sauce can also be used.
- Cooking spray: Use Pam olive oil flavor or your favorite oil.
Step by Step Directions for Air Fried Ravioli
Step 1: Coat Ravioli
- Preheat Air Fryer to 375 degrees
- Make your breading station by placing one cup of flour (add garlic powder to the flour), one cup of panko, and whisked eggs.
- First, dip your ravioli in the flour and coat well.
Step 2: Coat Ravioli
- Dip the ravioli into the whisked egg after the flour. This makes the egg stick to the ravioli.
Step 3: Bread Crumbs
- Next, coat the ravioli with bread crumbs, press it down in the bread crumbs, and make sure it’s fully coated with the panko.
- Repeat with each ravioli until all are breaded.
Step 4: Air Fry
- Place ravioli in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Spray the top with cooking spray or oil.
- Air Fry for 10 minutes. Flip over at 5 minutes and spray again with cooking oil.
- Remove from the air fryer when golden brown.
- Top with parmesan cheese and dip in marinara.
Tips and Tricks
- Using flour is optional. However, it does help the egg stick to the ravioli.
- If using frozen ravioli, increase your cooking time to 15 minutes and flip them over when the top looks golden brown.
- You can use any flavor of ravioli for these toasted ravioli or even tortellini.
- Spray ravioli with cooking spray for a crispier ravioli without deep frying.
