Buffalo Chicken Salad has tender juicy air-fried chicken that is seasoned with spicy buffalo sauce on top of a bed of romaine lettuce with lots of veggies then topped with a homemade dressing.

This Easy Chicken Salad is perfect to make ahead and take to work for lunch for meal prep or even a quick healthy dinner. Top this salad with Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing or Even Homemade Ranch Dressing to switch it up a little bit.

Ingredients for Buffalo Chicken Salad

Buffalo-Chicken-Salad-Ingredients.

For the Buffalo Chicken Marinate:

  • 1 Tbsp Frank’s Hot Sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp ranch seasonings
  • 1 Chicken Breast

For the Salad Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Salad Mix: Salad Mix or chopped romaine lettuce.
  • 12 Cherry Tomatoes: Cherry tomatoes or a chopped beef steak tomato works as well.
  • 2 celery stalks: Celery gives that extra crunch to the salad you can omit this if you wish.
  • 1/2 cucumber: About half a cup of chopped cucumber you can add more or less for your preferences.
  • Chopped Red Onion: The amount of chopped red onion is really up to your preference we used half a cup.

Homemade Dressing

  • 1 tbsp hot Frank’s sauce
  • 3 tbsp greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp ranch spices
  • 4-5 sprigs of fresh parsley

Buffalo Chicken Salad Recipe Directions:

Step One: Marinate Chicken

  • Mix one teaspoon of ranch seasoning, half Frank’s sauce, and honey.
  • Pour into a bag with a zip fastener, and add the chicken breast.
  • Allow marinating for at least 15 minutes.

Second Step: Air Fry Chicken

  • Transfer the marinated breast to the basket of the air fryer, and fry at 375 F for 15 minutes.
  • Drizzle with remaining sauce every 5 minutes.
  • Then flip to the other side and fry for another 5 minutes or until chicken reaches 165 degrees.

Third Step: Assemble Salad

  • Transfer the salad mix to a large bowl. I
  • Add chopped cucumber and chopped celery stalk.
  • Add halved cherry tomatoes and chopped red onion.
  •  Cut the chicken breast into slices, and put them on top of the vegetables.

Last Step: Make Dressing

  • Combine mayonnaise, yogurt, Frank’s sauce, one teaspoon of ranch seasonings, and chopped parsley, and stir to combine.
  • Drizzle dressing over salad and serve immediately.

Tips and Tricks

  • Add Crumbled blue cheese crumbles and croutons.
  • If you want to use a creamy ranch instead of the homemade dressing that would work also
  • You can add any fresh veggies you like to this salad.
  • Use leftover rotisserie chicken instead of air-frying chicken breast.
